Demetrios Makris

Demetrios founded South Florida Pilot to make flight training approachable, focused, and grounded in real-world decision-making. He works with students pursuing their ratings, preparing for checkrides, and building confidence in the cockpit.

With extensive experience instructing in Cessna, Piper, and Cirrus aircraft, he emphasizes strong fundamentals, sound aeronautical judgment, and personalized coaching.

Cole Padron

For Cole, aviation is more than a career—it’s a passion he’s excited to share with the next generation of pilots. He has experience flying a variety of aircraft, including Garmin G1000-equipped aircraft, and has flown across numerous states, primarily along the East Coast.

His experience in different airspace, weather, and real-world scenarios shapes a practical approach to instruction. He earned his multi-engine add-on in Smyrna, Tennessee, through a week of focused training—reinforcing his belief in preparation and dedication.

Cole aims to build confident, knowledgeable, safety-conscious pilots. His teaching is engaging and tailored to each student’s learning style, whether they are taking a first discovery flight or working toward their next rating.

His philosophy: Learning to fly should be just as exciting and memorable as earning your wings.
